MG Deals Australia

You're looking at the cheapest RWD mid-size electric SUV on the market right now.

• $48,990 driveaway, so no surprise on-roads to worry about
• 530km WLTP range means fewer charging stops on longer trips
• 10 year/250,000km warranty when you service with MG
• Capped price servicing averages roughly $268 per year over 7 years

If you're EV-curious but watching your budget, MG's October offer is worth a look — the S5 Essence 49kWh is $39,990 drive away, and you can pocket a $2,000 cashback on top.

• The bigger 64kWh Essence is also $44,990 drive away with the same $2,000 cashback
• The MG4 Urban models qualify for the cashback too
• Offer runs through October, so don't sit on it

It's not the cheapest EV going around — the Jaecoo J5 undercuts it at $36,900 drive away — but if you want a well-equipped SUV with cash back in your pocket, this is a solid deal to weigh up.

If you're after a budget-friendly EV that doesn't feel like a compromise, the MG4 Urban just got even sweeter — it took out Wheels Best Small Car (Electric) 2026, and there's now an extra $2,000 off as a "cashback" discount.

• Essence 43: $29,990 drive away — that's 316km WLTP range, plenty for zipping around town
• Essence 54: $32,990 drive away — 405km WLTP range, and owners report it's pretty accurate in the real world
• My pick would be the Essence 54 for the extra range if you can stretch the budget

At these prices, it's a seriously compelling city runabout or second car — just keep in mind those vinyl seats might get toasty come summer!
