Free Travel for Victorian Carers during National Carers Week @ Transport VIC

TravelcarersMelbourne

If you're a Victorian carer, you can travel anywhere across the state for free these school holidays — and yes, that includes V/Line trips to regional Victoria.

  • Free travel on all Melbourne trains, trams and buses plus regional trains, coaches and town buses from Saturday 10 October to Sunday 18 October 2026
  • Just carry your Carer myki and Victorian Carer Card and tap on and off as usual — no myki fares will be charged
  • Heads up: you'll need to reserve seats on long-distance V/Line trains and some coaches, so book early from Monday 14 September 2026 by calling 1800 800 007 or visiting a V/Line station or ticket outlet
  • Tickets must be collected within 48 hours (or posted if you phone-book more than 10 business days ahead)

Grab this deal and treat yourself to a well-earned getaway — you've definitely earned it!
