The Akai MPK249 is a 49-key USB MIDI keyboard controller designed for studio production and live performance environments. The unit includes 16 RGB-backlit MPC-style pads, 8 assignable control knobs, 8 faders, and 8 backlit switches for deep integration with digital audio workstations. Weighing approximately 5.7 kilograms and measuring 73.7 cm by 31.1 cm by 8.6 cm, the controller is built for standard desktop setups. It connects via USB-MIDI for plug-and-play functionality and includes 5-pin MIDI input and output ports for hardware integration.
