Under The Waves

Under The Waves is a narrative-driven adventure game developed by Parallel Studio and published by Quantic Dream for PC. Set in the depths of the North Sea during a techno-futuristic 1970s, players control Stan, a professional diver struggling to overcome a life-changing loss while isolated in an underwater facility. The game features a significant focus on environmental storytelling, requiring approximately 15GB of available storage space for installation. Key gameplay mechanics include piloting a submarine, exploring expansive underwater caverns, and interacting with various marine life and industrial wreckage. It is designed for single-player use, offering a contemplative experience that blends exploration with emotional narrative progression. The title supports standard PC controller inputs and keyboard-mouse configurations. Players navigate the ocean floor to complete tasks while managing oxygen levels and equipment integrity, making it a suitable choice for those who enjoy atmospheric, story-heavy games that emphasize exploration and character development over high-intensity combat.
