While much safer than electrically conductive silver and copper greases, Arctic Silver 5 should be kept away from electrical traces, pins, and leads. While it is not electrically conductive, the compound is very slightly capacitive and could potentially cause problems if it bridges two adjacent electrical paths. The 3.5-gram tube contains enough compound to cover at least 15 to 25 small CPU cores, 6 to 10 large CPU cores to 5 heat plates. Use between CPUs and heatsinks or water-cooling solutions.
