Eve Door & Window (Matter)

The Eve Door & Window (Matter) is a contact sensor designed to monitor the status of entry points within a smart home ecosystem. This device utilizes magnetic reed switch technology to detect whether a door or window is open or closed, providing real-time status updates and triggering automated scenes. It features a compact design measuring 52 x 24 x 23 mm for the sensor and 18 x 18 x 8 mm for the magnet, powered by a single replaceable ER14250 1/2AA lithium battery. Connectivity is managed via Thread technology, ensuring low-latency communication and robust mesh networking without the need for a dedicated bridge. The device is compatible with Apple Home, Amazon Alexa, Google Home, and Samsung SmartThings through the Matter standard. Typical use cases include automating lighting when entering a room, receiving security notifications when away from home, or integrating with climate control systems to pause heating or cooling when a window is left open.
