MD1 Pro Mono Passive Direct Box

The Samson MD1 Pro is a mono passive direct box designed to convert high-impedance, unbalanced instrument signals into low-impedance, balanced signals suitable for professional audio mixers and recording interfaces. This unit features a premium STLX Mu-Metal shielded transformer, which effectively reduces hum and radio frequency interference during signal transmission. The device is housed in a rugged, 14-gauge steel chassis, ensuring durability for both studio environments and demanding live stage applications. Key technical specifications include a frequency response of 18Hz to 40kHz, a 3-position attenuation switch (0dB, -15dB, -30dB), and a ground lift switch to eliminate ground loops. Weighing approximately 0.65 kilograms with dimensions of 140mm x 95mm x 50mm, the MD1 Pro is a compact solution for connecting guitars, keyboards, and other electronic instruments directly to a PA system or digital workstation. It operates as a fully passive device, requiring no external power supply or batteries to function within standard Australian audio setups.
