Sony Sonnar T* FE 55mm F1.8 ZA Camera Lens

A high performance mate for all Sony E-Mount cameras This high quality Prime lens from Sony is an excellent companion for both full frame and APS-C versions of their E-Mount cameras. On the smaller sensors cameras, the 55mm focal length amounts to an equivalent of 82.5mm, excellent for getting a tighter crop on portraits, while full-frontal bodies can utilise the normal focal range for photographing virtually anything - a versatile everyday option. Fast and wide f1.8 aperture The fast f1.8 aperture of this Sony 55mm lens is able to let in plenty of light, making it a fantastic handheld and low-light photography option. Camera shake is all but forgotten due to the faster shutter speeds that you can now shoot at. Brilliant for capturing more dramatic and striking photographs, this large aperture allows for explorations into selective focus. You can make the conscious decision as to whether a little or a lot of your photograph is sharp and in focus, and your lens will oblige. Images with shallower depths of field will further benefit from the circular 9-bladed aperture, which assures out of focus areas are rendered smoothly and beautifully. Construction quality Designed and constructed with finesse, the Sony 55mm f1.8 lens feels almost as lovely in your hands, as the images it helps you to create. A dust and moisture resistant construction allows complete confidence when shooting in the great outdoors and it also results in a sturdy, yet lightweight piece of kit, to have and to hold. Optically, the sonnar design assures a high level of image sharpness and quality - when you load your first shots on your computer, you will be shocked at their overall quality and the lack of imperfections. Always a welcome feature, Carl Zeiss' T* anti-reflective coating has been applied, resulting in a consistently high level of contrast and colour reproduction while reducing the effects of ghosting and flare.
