The Wharfedale Diamond 12.1i is the refined evolution of the award-winning Diamond 12 Series, offering upgraded performance and a fresh contemporary look while preserving the musical character that made the original so popular. Available in modern All-Black, Classic Walnut with a semi-matte baffle, and Stone Grey finishes, the 12.1i is designed to blend seamlessly into today’s interiors with a premium, understated style. Internally, Wharfedale has reworked key acoustic elements, including improved port tuning, better airflow control and enhanced internal damping. These refinements provide tighter bass, greater low-frequency clarity and more consistent performance in real listening spaces. The speaker continues to use the highly regarded Klarity mid/bass cone, a polypropylene and mica blend that delivers excellent rigidity, low distortion and fast response for natural mids and articulate bass. High frequencies come from a 25mm textile dome tweeter, engineered for smooth, open treble with wide dispersion. A high-quality Linkwitz-Riley crossover with air-core inductors ensures seamless integration between the drivers, while the low-resonance, braced cabinet structure minimises vibration for cleaner, more accurate sound.
